This is disappointing, but not surprising. Large food companies have, at least in the US, always been given a seat at the table for regulatory processes. They control the narrative. Water it down to fit their needs. Organic designation too hard? Make it easier. Including climate change in impact statements? Ignore it. It's ~~turtles~~ profit all the way down.
