Look up the high tail. It attaches to the back of your helmet and you can tuck your hair inside of it. Absolute game changer.

Thanks for the suggestion! I checked it out and it does look very effective. Sadly I don't like the look of it at all, to the point where I'd rather just untangle my hair after every ride.
I put my riding jacket on so that my ponytail stays under the collar. Then I put my scarf on without knotting it, it pretty much secures my hair with the helmet.
But of course this all often fails and my thick, wavy mane gets loose and my daughters get to play "let's untangle Dad's hair again" - game. And they are getting really good at it.
A braid starting below the helmet rim seems to work for my SO
I learned to braid my hair.
I do a pony tail and pull my hair through the last time only half way.
French braids. A hair wrap doesn't hurt.
I’m all ears, too. Getting tired of dealing with the tangles after a ride is always the last stage in the “I’m gonna grow my hair out again” cycle.
I only ever used to do a ponytail in summer, or tuck it in my neck protector in winter. I did look at the thing that goes on your helmet to tuck it into, but at that time it was really expensive for what it is.
Now I just have the Noraly hairstyle (easy to do by yourself in the mirror, lol) and don't have to mess around with it anymore.
One thing that works is a regular ponytail with just the very end doubled up and tightly tied with elastic.
