I updated this morning to the latest version. I'm using the beta build on Graphene OS.

When I switch to a different app and then come back to Voyager it now shrinks the app down to half size vertically as seen in the image.

Whenever I submit a comment mine shrinks away and greys out a little. It's weird

+1 for me on this behaviour, too. Usually after making a reply, but rarely (not never) at other times. Usually need to kill the app and reload to fix it.

It's been happening for about a month now?

Edit: There it is again, after making this reply. ๐Ÿ˜…

What version of android are you on?

[โ€“] Brewchin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

On a stock Samsung S22 with the latest security patch (November).

Great thanks

Mine does this too, used to be every time but now it is sporadic. For me I dont have to submit the reply either, sometimes it does it when I back out of replying too.

What version on android are you running?

2.41.0 on Android 16. To be honest it started before I upgraded from 15, but I never was too bothered by it.

This has been happening to me too on iOS

I've seen apps flip out as part of shrinking to make space for a keyboard - what happens when you bring up the keyboard, then close it?

No change, it stays as it is.

Such a weird bug. Hopefully the devs can help you, and push a fix for your hardware.

The new version of Capacitor has a totally new way of handling safe area and insets so Iโ€™m hoping this is resolved with that work!

Though far less egregious than OP's case, I have a similar issue.

It commonly happens after commenting or giving 3+ up/down votes to comments in a post (specifically, view changes after giving votes, then returning from post-view to feed-view.)

Normal View

And ofc can't replicate the view change atm.

Yeh your issue is a known issue as I have had the same for a while now. It also weirdly does not show up when you screen record and replicate the issue for whatever reason as I tried for the last month or so to catch it in the act but it refused to be recorded xD

Loh, that is fun. Do you use Multiwindow at all?

Update

So after playing around i have figures out that it is something relating to the keyboard. If I switch between apps when the previous app has the keyboard open, like a messenger, then I will get this error. However switching from something, including the same messaging app, without the keyboard open then it won't cause this error.

Using Heliboard if it makes a difference :)

edit if I open an image post full screen then it will revert back. If I open the same post in comments view then it will stay the same.
