These are so tame. I remember for a period in the early 2000s my community was getting spammed with pamphlets from this apocalyptic “Christian” sect. It had volcanoes and fire-breathing dragons and ripped Jesus with superpowers. I was so tempted to go to one of their meetings to see exactly how batshit insane it was, but was afraid of being kidnapped.

Wish I kept some of the flyers tho, just in case I ever decided to release a heavy metal album and needed cover material.

Lol. Great idea.

Side point, I just noticed that the one with the tank was authored in 2019.

Wait, it's from pre-covid and they have masks on? HOW DID THEY KNOW?!?!

[–] ouRKaoS@lemmy.today 6 points 3 weeks ago

The greatest one of these I ever saw was just after September 11th.

The cover was a picture of the second tower impact and the headline was "WHERE WAS GOD?"

...I don't think they understood the irony.

I can't say I get a vote on mocking but I love what looks like a blue screen of death near the tank

Ooooh, lets do the one with the tank first.

Woah, yeah...

As far as pamphlets go, the Lyndon LaRouche crowd was just the best... 👨‍🍳💋

Did you know the #1 threat to America was the international cocaine cartel run by Queen Elizabeth II? I read it in a LaRouche pamphlet so it must be true!

First couple pages. Pretty woke.

Just, eh, make sure you know what they’re at the court for, before mocking them in person.

Just saying.

I made sure. We had a little 5 minute conversation beforehand
