Hey everyone,

I'm pretty new to this Reticulum-thing, but I already came so far to create a working portable RNode. A test-messaging via Sideband also did work.

But in the long run, the goal should be to connect with many other people with the same frequency. Currently I'm located in Germany and the frequency-range should be around 868Mhz. But I am kind of unsure, what the most used exact frequency really is.

Is there a way to find out, what frequencies people in my area are using? Like a scan functionality or something like that?

Maybe check with local meshtastic groups, my local meshtastic discord also has a Reticulum channel.

I probably need to get deeper into this rabbit hole. But thanks!

You can look at the spectrum with a SDR and see where, and on what bandwidth, local meshheads are chirping. Reticulum is not (yet!) widely used, so it's most likely going to be Meshtastic traffic.

Finland has seen some organisation in the mesh spheres, we've settled on 869.4313 MHz with 62 kHz bandwidth to dodge constant radio pollution from smart electricity meters.

Thanks, but that sounds a little complicated for me. but I helped myself with https://rmap.world/ and checked what frequency most nodes in my country use. 869,5250 MHz seems to be used here often.

This helped me too.
