I want to test some tweaks to my adblocking, but those ad blocker test sites are crap, so give me your worst and let's see if I can see it clean lmao

Any and all "warez" sites. Which download button is the real one?! Even adblockers don't necessarily work in these hives of scum and villainy.

Fandom.com

God I hate that place so much

Try this extension for Firefox if you'd prefer to avoid Fandom.

Actually for something similar on pc. On mobile though I just have to use my search engine more thoughtfully. I have a customized google search that automatically omits it from back when I used google but I don't remember where I left the link

I knew I should have put a "and don't say Google" line at the end lmfao

You're welcome!

  • Toms hardware

most of the tech news sites are all ad shit holes now.

Fresh from my news feed:

  • stuff.co.nz
  • the new stack

Most of the tech news places have been clean for me for awhile, that's why I'm genuinely confused for a second when people say that it's ad-infested 😅

I forgot The New Stack though was one that was getting a few through, now it's clean again

  • stuff.co.nz

Squeaky clean trash articles lol

New Zealand journalism at its finest.

I'd tell you if I knew, but I'm not disabling my ad blocker to find out. :)

I use adblockers mercilessly, so I couldn’t tell you.

Nooooo, that's how they multiply.

Any local newspapers website

Used to read gs here. It's literally unusable on mobile due to redirect hijacks. Dunno how bad desktop is but I assume it's bad.

Loads perfectly clean for me, no redirects (and on mobile), though disqus is broken, but probably nothing of value lost there lmao

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago

Props to your blockers!

pch.com. like the site was so ad ridden it stalled when you have even the most basic adblocker

Holy shit, an ad every 2-3 articles‽ thankfully they're just empty voids for me, but got dam that's worse than reddits ad rate on scrolling

[–] RedC@sh.itjust.works 3 points 12 hours ago

Any streaming piracy site is def the worst, like bingewatch.tv

Just use adblockers

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 1 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago)

Ads can be blocked all at once...

What's annoying is people who have 20+ accounts on the same service and constantly spam from them. Making everyone else block them over and over and over
