Oh people hate me because I go the posted speed limit or slightly below, cause you know that’s the legal limit there. But no, that’s not good enough they gotta go like 10-20 over. Especially in a school zone, people love to speed there which is wild to me.

That's alright, so long as you understand that driving the speed limit does not give you the right to bogart the left lane if a speeder wants to pass. Right lane for cruising, left lane for passing; no exceptions.

Yes, tailgating is bad. Yes, cruising in the middle lane in bad.

In the picture, the person is in the middle lane and not passing anyone. They should move to the right. Because they are in the middle, two different range-of-speed drivers are being funneled into the far left lane, where traffic will start to get clogged. Eventually, assholes will start flicking through traffic with no regard for anyone's safety. A wreck will happen. This all started because someone was coasting in the middle lane. Don't stay in the middle lane if you are not passing someone.

I agree why the heck are they in the middle lane when the slow lane is open, and yes I do like being angry so get the fuck over to the slow lane.

My favourite ... which is actually very common ... is some nutjob speeding up behind me, tailgating to try to pass in the most improbable places, solid lanes, etc but doing so without success. Watching them in the mirror close enough for me see how frustrated they are and waving their hands.

After several minutes or even half an hour of following you ... they finally pass.

Then immediately turn off in front of you because they reached their turn off / parking lot / restaurant / gas station / place of work.

Years ago, I'd try to avoid people like this by slowing down or even dipping at low speed onto the shoulder to let them pass .... but it seldom works because they are just driving down the highway / freeway / roadway for a short distance to take their turn off.

So now, I really don't care, I keep my speed, don't let them affect my driving and keep a close eye on them ... and sure enough, they disappear because they took their turn off.

Where's the punchline, the joke, the closure, the message?
