Awful to see the steady dismantling of the CDC. There are doctors and science advocates coming together to scaffold and build up trustworthy sources of info outside of the CDC. I follow epidemiologist Katelyn Jetelina and she has a great newsletter she started up around Covid and has kept going - https://yourlocalepidemiologist.substack.com/ She recommends the general public avoid the CDC web site now. She recommends healthychildren.org powered by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Some U.S. states have also partnered together i.e. the West Coast Health Alliance that have pulled away from the CDC recommendations. A friend of mine in health noted it's a big reason why we (I'm in California) can still get our Covid vaccines regardless of age while her sister in Oklahoma was denied. I know there are some North Eastern states that have also partnered up. Going to be very different healthcare messaging to navigate state by state...

I mean, that ship sailed as soon as the brain worm guy was put in charge.

Ahem, the worms are actually the one in charge.

There's a reason why data hoarders were archiving the entire CDC website (amongst others) once Don won the election.

America is no longer trustworthy.

It’s dark that people think America can be saved at this point. Thats more ominous than americas collapse because it shows the truth of the people behind Americas culture…

You should hope that people have hope.

Look at what happened when the USSR fell. Genocide in the former Republics, a kleptocracy with nuclear weapons, and more.

Think all of the US arsenal will just vanish in a puff of smoke? Think the crash of the dollar won't mean a world wide depression?

People do not comprehend how bad things will get if the dominant world super power collapses. This will be worse than the collapse of the USSR because at least the power vacuum there wasn't basically the world police whether you think that's a good or bad thing.

I just think people don’t even understand what hope and faith are. They will vote and pay anyone for a sloppy heartless fix. It might be best if things collapse and turn to a real hell if it can at least be natural chaos. The universe can actually bring order to that. Humans trying to own and control life ruins it when they do it for the wrong reasons or let manipulated fear and emotion do their bidding.

Yeah, things aren't going to go the way you think if it all collapses. It won't be "natural chaos." It'll be a brutal probably decades long civil war. It'll be unnatural chaos, as anyone who can tries to grasp for power. There will be checkpoints on every street and gorilla warfare all over. You'll never be safe, and any expectation for a" normal" life you have will be destroyed.

That might be the way things go. It'll still be better than if the Fascists actually maintain power. It won't be what you think though. It'll be the worse than you could possibly imagine. If you haven't seen actual warfare then you can't imagine what it'll be, and even if you have it'll be so much worse.

If that's what we have to do then that's what we have to do. I still have hope that there's a way to bring things back without it though.

I do understand that… I mean maybe even centuries of war… famon, barely living…. The smell of death everywhere.

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You remind me of Charlie Kirk.

He said that we had to have school shootings if we were goign to have a free society.

You think that millions dying is good because it's 'natural chaos.'

America's inevitable collapse will be a global collapse. And the rich and big corpos will come out on top.

[–] peteyestee@feddit.org 4 points 1 day ago

And we all paid for that to happen. That’s the saddest part.

Killing all the facets of government aside from military is their goal

[–] jjpamsterdam@feddit.org 1 points 1 day ago

US Government sources in general should not be trusted in my opinion. The scientific basis and independence of all agencies of that government have been seriously eroded and should therefore never be taken at face value without verification from trustworthy sources.

jenny mccarthney jolted this movement for all those white midwest moms, who funnily believe in another pseudoscience thing.
