ty for being honest.

I’d love to marry a dude rocking this. He better walk down the aisle too tho

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 6 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Walk nothing. I'll be on a palanquin carried by my groomsmen.

are they in formal attire or just a loincloth as is custom?

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 3 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

It's a formal occasion so loincloths, French cuffs (not the shirt, just the cuffs), and bowties. And formal sandals.

That's the most beautifully gender-neutral item of clothing I have ever seen

[–] scintilla@crust.piefed.social 4 points 9 hours ago (3 children)

Fuck it if men don't want capes I'm taking them. Theyre too god looking to be gendered anyways.

let's normalize this nice ass shit as normal man clothes.

men "abandoned their claim to be considered beautiful" and "henceforth aimed at being only useful".[3] The Great Renunciation encouraged the establishment of the suit's monopoly on male dress codes at the beginning of the 19th century.

While that does look awesome, it also looks incredibly high-maintenance and hot. I'll stick to jeans, thanks.

[–] angrystego@lemmy.world 5 points 12 hours ago

It does look hot!

From the Millardo Peacecraft collection we offer Zech's very own wedding cape.

[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 2 points 9 hours ago

Thank you. I was struggling to figure out which anime this reminded me of the most.

Say what you want about Zechs, but he really made that neo-regency (?) style work.

Although I personally am not a cape kind of guy, I will readily admit that this looks damn good

[–] tomiant@piefed.social 7 points 13 hours ago

Right. My "marriage". It's the costume that's the problem.

[–] Obi@sopuli.xyz 3 points 12 hours ago

Maybe not this particular getup but I remember seeing some earthy tone capes that looked a bit like what you'd expect Aragorn or the hobbits to be wearing, but not that similar that it looks like a cosplay, and those looked pretty comfy and practical (didn't drag on the floor).
