Wow, it makes me very sad this is even something that needed to be said in the first place. Is this common in the US? I wouldn't in a million years say such a thing or could imagine a scenario where anyone is saying that unless they are purposely being toxic. Is the bar lowered so much that basic empathy and manners are forgotten now?

I hope everyone here has a great rest of their day, and be sure to be kind to the next person you see. Whether it's just being nice to a cashier, coworker, anyone, just do it! You can change someone's day with even the most basic acts of kindness. You'd be surprised the difference it makes. I say this because I just met a couple of new friends just today by simply being nice to random people.

My theory is that being rude to people creates this endless cycle where they'll pass on that negativity to the next person as well so the cycle just continues. I've been struggling a lot lately, but it doesn't mean I have to make everyone else miserable too.

Edit: Oh shit sorry, I didn't see which community this was posted in and I just realized it was probably something Trump said lol

[–] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 1 points 32 minutes ago

Yep twatface said it. Cos he's a bigoted bully

[–] Schmoo@slrpnk.net 28 points 14 hours ago (2 children)

There is another one, when you're addressing a cop.

[–] VoteNixon2016@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 13 hours ago

In that case though, it's gender neutral

[–] treesapx@lemmy.world 14 points 12 hours ago

So much conservative anger is just wanting to use bigoted language without considering the consequences.

[–] Junkers_Klunker@feddit.dk 75 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

But what if you’re president of the USA and don’t like the question from a journalist?

[–] tomiant@piefed.social 36 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

"Sir, what do you say about your recent nuclear strike that killed billions?"

"You know, you are ugly, and I think you smell bad."

The state of superpower politics in 2025 everyone!

[–] Junkers_Klunker@feddit.dk 5 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Perfectly reasonable answer one might say.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 3 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

If that someone has the mental aptitude of a five year old.

[–] BossDj@piefed.social 2 points 6 hours ago

Listen, he's passed so many cognitive checks, ok?

[–] Junkers_Klunker@feddit.dk 3 points 10 hours ago

And that’s apparently who the muricans want for president

[–] Screen_Shatter@lemmy.world 10 points 15 hours ago

Then you grab her by the pussy and show people why their moral outrage is worthless in the face of run away oligarchy.

[–] Klear@quokk.au 14 points 16 hours ago

Oh. That's why it's in political memes. I should have known =/

[–] But_my_mom_says_im_cool@lemmy.world 48 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (4 children)

Well if she’s in her cop uniform, what else am I supposed to call her?

[–] chuckleslord@lemmy.world 13 points 14 hours ago

I believe the Muppet scenario was already covered

[–] Proprietary_Blend@lemmy.world 10 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Pigs aren’t people

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 17 points 16 hours ago

Officer Piggy

[–] criss_cross@lemmy.world 2 points 12 hours ago

Just oink like a normal person

[–] Cooper8@feddit.online 9 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Also if your job is Dominatrix. That's it.

[–] pixeltree@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Hmmm, is a client considered a coworker?

[–] Cooper8@feddit.online 3 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

No, but they could be women.

[–] pixeltree@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 4 hours ago

Lmao somehow I remembered it reading coworker instead of woman. Yep yep

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 2 points 9 hours ago

Or if you're from New Zealand and your cow-orker Margaret prefers you to use one of its rarer diminutive forms.

[–] unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 22 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

Or if you are into some kinky shit and the other likes being called piggy :)

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 22 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Probably still not one for work

[–] Mk23simp@lemmy.blahaj.zone 24 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

Maybe if you're a porn actor and it's in the script.

[–] unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 11 points 16 hours ago

Or a professional dom

[–] tomiant@piefed.social 6 points 16 hours ago

You lemon stealing piggy!

[–] anytimesoon@piefed.social 9 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

At your job? I would say thats still not quite right

[–] fonix232@fedia.io 8 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Pro doms do exist. Technically, it would be at their job...

[–] anytimesoon@piefed.social 1 points 14 hours ago
[–] tomiant@piefed.social 3 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

Does your job consist of calling people "little piggy"?

If it does not, then calling people "little piggy" is not something you should do on your job.

Edit: I have been informed that calling people "little piggy" is, indeed, part of the GROPUS' daily duties.

[–] danekrae@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago)

A prostitute that likes being called piggy.

[–] tomiant@piefed.social 2 points 16 hours ago

I call little piggies little piggies. Them, and cops. Exclusively.

[–] shyguyblue@lemmy.world 22 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

I can't wait for someone to say it to him

[–] tipicaldik@lemmy.world 16 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

I've started saying it every time I grab the remote control to get his fat ass off my TV screen...

[–] SmackemWittadic@lemmy.world 4 points 13 hours ago

That's a perfect use case for that sentence

[–] scarabic@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

Also works for “person.” 👍

[–] Zagorath@aussie.zone 9 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

What if you're a farmer and are addressing a sow?

[–] tomiant@piefed.social 7 points 16 hours ago

What if you're suffering from dementia, small dick, and syphilis?

I'd say that qualifies.

[–] obsoleteacct@lemmy.zip 5 points 15 hours ago

This probably comes up more than the muppet thing.

[–] BeatTakeshi@lemmy.world 8 points 17 hours ago

Why do I have the feeling that's something he definitely said to one of his victims?

[–] Zagorath@aussie.zone 4 points 17 hours ago

Times when it's ok to call a woman "Piggy" at your job:
-You're a Muppet addressing one of your fellow Muppet coworkers by her actual legal name
-Literally that's it
