Interesting concept! I'll be along if you'd made these permanents sort of. It could be a fun way to promote artists and art itself IMO.
I love museums, but I don't have the funds to visit as much as I want, I really like the concept.
I do have some light criticism, in the hope that it will help bettering the experience.
Immersion is everything in these kind of events so be careful about anuthing that breaks that.

Also, and this is only my view of things, you can move so fast and the angle of view is so that you take in way too much too fast. A flip of the finger and you do no longer know where you are and what you're looking at. Think of when you were in a museum last time, you walk, approach a painting, walk up to it and take it in all in itself without disturbance. No rush. The walking was better, even if I'd slow it down too. I used the web page and didn't download the app.

I do plan to rotate artworks on a weekly basis π Yes, indeed. It is my second exhibition and it is a great way for artists to showcase their works.

You may want to try the ββββ arrows on your keyboard to move around. It takes a bit of training to get used to it, I agree.

It moving about too fast might just be when viewing on a mobile phone, rather than a computer and keyboard.
I'm also finding the navigation a bit tricky, in terms of it "zooming about too quickly".

Getting close up and seeing individual pixels kind of breaks the immersion imo. I think you need to at least quadruple the resolution of the image files you use to prevent that.
Sorry you got disappointed. These are high resolution images. What device did you use?
You can see very heavy compression artifacts. Im on firefox/librewolf on a beefy PC with a 1440p display. It looks like this for every image. Adjusting the "Graphics Quality" setting on the site doesnt change anything about the images either.
Its clearly visible even when im not that close.
Yes, when you hoover over it, it gets a sort of glass layer over it. I am aware, but that is beyond my control. Thank you for sharing this. I'll let the platform know. Moving the mouse out of the canvas and taking a step back is the best option.
Doesnt have anything to do with hovering over the image im afraid. That just makes them brighter but doesnt change any other image properties. Either the platform compresses the images when you upload them, or they were like this to begin with. This is just what heavy JPG compression does to images. If it wasnt you then they probably do this to improve loading time when initially opening the gallery.

It's okay. I am used to these responses. Especially 'cause it is new to a lot of people and it takes a bit of trying out to understand the virtual environment (which has its limitations by default)
Something to consider is like looking at a Rembrandt van Rijn painting. If you put your nose on it, you don't see a portrait but a lot of brush strokes. Same with these digital artworks. It is not drawn to the pixel as a pixel artist does. So zooming in will give distortions, no matter the used dpi.
