Transcript:

Violet kneels on the floor holding a football upright with her finger. In a panic, she exclaims,"He'll kick my hand! I just know he will!"

As Charlie Brown runs up to kick the ball, she let's it go saying,"I can't go through with it!"

As she kneels nearby, he kicks the unbalanced ball and in surprise, falls down.

Violet stands over a dazed and pained Charlie Brown asking,"You didn't kick the ball, Charlie Brown...why didn't you kick it?"

I love how the original context was more harmless, somehow makes it funnier, like I feel like this has happened to me or my friends when we were kids

Been waiting a long time to get this comic.

I'm shocked to learn that the first football gag comic predates Lucy Van Pelt, and instead features Violet!
