Title says it all, I am using the latest version of Linux Mint, with an Archer T2U Plus usb. I can detect and connect to the 2.4g just fine.

I am using the morrownr 8812au driver from github. What might be the problem? I've heard I might need to add the 5g MAC address to my network manager, but I want to make absolutely sure it isnt like an option or toggle i have on. I had this same issue in MX Linux about six months back but still no dice.

You could install a newer kernel. Support was added more recently

Yes, if I get the information right, from kernel 6.14 onwards, one should use the mac80211 driver, already included in the kernel, instead of the 8812au driver from morrownr.

It might help you to know there's a possibly better community for tech support questions about Linux. Someone there may have the answer you're looking for.

I'm a Linux noob so I'm sorry I can't help more.
