the Web UI of https://discuss.tchncs.de/ seems to be loading slowly for me a lot of the time. Like, the past 3 days, it has taken 10+ seconds to load.

I think it's only the Web UI though and not the API because when i click an upvote button, it's snappy fast.

I just saw i asked the same question 3 months ago. Back then, it was also lemmy-ui that caused issues.

Could you/we maybe install/get an alternative web UI, like Photon? https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/ does it like this: https://phtn.lemmy.blahaj.zone/

+1 It was fine for a bit but yes now the web frontend is unusable again.

sorry, i had noticed that the monitoring was triggered a little while ago which indicates that its time to restart the frontend to mitigate this issue, but i forgot

will look into an alternative frontend but not sure if that would see much use
