Society is actively collapsing, going to the grocery store basically is essentially the same task as looting an abandoned one, that isn't actually abandoned.
No, no, its not the same level of actual danger, not yet, but, it does call for pretty much all the same skillsets, situational awareness, optimizing loot haul given constraints, complex environment navigation... and you're probably gonna need to deal with the outdoor environment at some point.
