in the bazzite docs you can switch by doing a rebase to the gnome version. though the issue you're having sounds different, maybe check systemd logs first and see if there's any noticeable errors?

I second the recommendation to check for other issues first. I'm running KDE for ages now, and in my experience, it has been remarkably stable.
The literal first thing it says in a big warning box is that rebasing DE isn’t supported…
what’s it called anyway when not on Windows?
on KDE it's just called the Application Launcher.
Do you have any ideas apart from completely re-installing?
like the other person suggested, I would check the logs. there's probably something in there to give you a hint, because in general KDE is very stable and you shouldn't be experiencing this if everything was nominal.
