Almost, but it’s hydrogen and helium

[–] JcbAzPx@lemmy.world 15 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

In astrophysics the other would all be metal. You can use it to help tell the age of a star.

[–] Robaque@feddit.it 11 points 2 weeks ago

Goddamn woke metals, that's not how age works

Wheelchair bound people for scale

[–] Aeao@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

It’s a societal power scale. Once you’re disable you’re just less of a person now. That’s why we make them used different water fountains.

I am a Transuranic, I am super heavy and my gender's half life is measured in milliseconds.

[–] ninth_plane@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

right now it's only 118 genders, but it's still possible to discover more.

A lot of genders are very unstable though. Some genders can be violently dangerous, prone to reactivity, or won't even survive very long in the real world.

I'm Argon and I just want to pee. Which one do I use??

[–] prime_number_314159@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

True noble gases are extremely resistant to producing liquid at room temperature.

We're Argon and we just want to pee. Which one do we use?

Use the noble we. And the noble wee.

Funnily enough the alchemical symbol for Iron is ♂, the symbol for the male gender lol

[–] lauha@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Well that makes non-binary people either Iron-Copper (fitting but lame) or Mercury (less commonly used symbol for non-binary/genderfluid but a pure element)

[–] Aatube@kbin.melroy.org 7 points 2 weeks ago

this actually seems like a good pun for a chemistry building

[–] JcbAzPx@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Better than the abstract art some places like to use.

[–] Decency8401@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 2 weeks ago

Shouldn't it be like Wn and Me? I mean when it's derived from Female and Men, why not just say women and men or as I wrote above Woman and Men. Or Fe and Me for Female and Male or am I just overthinking?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 2 weeks ago

I like tungsten.

Nuclear power must be opposed to maintain transphobia!

[–] ornery_chemist@mander.xyz 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

I suppose that makes LANL and co. gender R&D labs. Explore the frontiers!

[–] krooklochurm@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 weeks ago
