Just a reminder, Disney didn't show the episode "Dad Baby" in the US because they were concerned about backlash... Its a good episode.

Ok, I’m out of the loop on this one. Why bluey? It’s a great snow. Love to watch it with my kids because of the Easter eggs for the adults.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it probably teaches compassion and humanity?

Oh my, there are so many reasons. Let me share some of the bullshit I've heard.

  1. They're girls, so boys won't watch it. (Park a kid in front of a cartoon and tell me they won't watch)

  2. It teaches empathy, the right's most hated of human facets.

  3. The parents are friends and parents shouldn't be friends - they should be parents. This was said by my brother in law who is big into spanking.

  4. These are TV and not real kids. Real kids don't play like that.

  5. It's unrealistic parenting. (Admittedly, Chili, Bandit, and Lucky's dad must be in a workshop together with how quick they "yes, and")

The conservative response for most of this was some chinchilla based knock off that had no lessons for parents and just a morality message embedded in it like a Saturday morning cartoon. That only had 1 season. Bluey is at 3 and a movie.

I think it's great that the parenting is unrealisticly good; it gives us something to aspire to.

The conservatives I know all love Bluey, so OOTL with you lol

I would pay to watch Bandit jerk off all over some right-wingers. Lucky's dad's rules..

They always find some kids show to obssess about. First it were the Teletubbies, then Spongebob, now Bluey.
