If Trump actually won instead of Biden, then wouldn't this be his third term in his mind? So, according to Trump himself, he shouldn't even be president right now.

He's also publicly said his first term shouldn't count and gave some crockpot reason as to why.

I will be flat out evil towards anyone who voted for this

Oh let's run Bill Clinton, George W Bush, Obama and Biden vs Trump next time!

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

It'll be interesting on Jan 21st 2027 to see if people like JD Vance or Trump better.

Gotta say, it would be loads of fun to watch Obama crush him in an election.

Do you think Obama would have a good chance? I'm not from US, so I am not sure about his perceived popularity. But it would be good and hilarious at the same time

There would be people who’d bitch about it and call him a fascist war criminal but those people can be safely ignored.

And you wonder how you got Trump.

Keep on ignoring, I guess? Seems to be working out so well for you spineless-war-criminal-sympathizer-fuckwits.

But make sure to remind the other side of how they support "criminal" trump. Ignoring them worked out just perfect.

I doubt they they could get the amendment ratified in 2-3 years even if it was uncontroversial (which obviously this is) Technically it can be done in months. Just getting 2/3rds the house seems unlikely as there are more democrats than that (and it isn't clear the republicans would agree to this - Trump is past the first 100 days and the house is as normal looking at the winds for the next election), Then 38 states are needed - Trump didn't win that many, and it is also not clear even the states he won would agree.

We still don't have an equal rights amendment. If they're working on changing existing ones, that one should go first.

The document is from last February, for what it's worth.
