That's the meme. They translate English expressions, names and brands into German 1:1, disregarding any standing idioms and available translations. Hard to read even as a German native. Struggling to figure out what to OP meant is like 90% of the fun.
Haha, I remember trying to tell a German colleague that another colleague was ‘ingverklerten’ because he had red hair, apparently the German word for ginger is not used to represent colour. Almost as popular as our attempt to call someone a ‘glockenende’ when they had been foolish. Sounds like I should look into ich_iel a bit.

Learning French in the US is such a let down. Spanish is the unofficial second national language and German has the best memes.

French is so difficult to learn because of the pronunciation. Spanish is much easier to learn in comparison. I don't get why all school in Germany prefer French as third language before Spanish.
The most populated region at war times was West Germany. It was governed by France after war.
I have no idea if this is actually the reason but we are incredibly thankful for restoring our country by our french friends - which we harassed and killed beforehand.

I'm still not sure what exactly you mean but I would love to see immigrant culture on ich_iel and I think most others do too! It's not that the community is hostile or anything and people who don't speak German or things explained when they ask.

They are hostile. There are anti migrant dog whistles all over the sub and a lot more on reddit.
German discrimination is always very "under the hood" and highly sophisticated. You cant be "right and proud" due to the holocaust.
The reality is that the second strongest party has roots to the old NSDAP.

Maybe how a community that has quite a number of anti-CDU memes is dogwhistling nazi code. That the community is German isn't enough to say it is nazi. You can link posts and explain the dogwhistles or maybe decode some common dogwhistles without link. I'm curious to lern the NS background of surgeons.

Germany is a bit more deranged. The right does not like the CDU (under them we recived the syrian Asylum seekers).
Look at the anti-AFD demonstrations. It looks like a fucking snowfield. Migrant's and people of color are NOT welcome there.
You can be on the right or even a fascistic and hate CDU/AFD. Thats what a lot of them do. Those people maybe don't like "the right", but HATE the migrants.
You are yet to show me any anti migrant meme or dogwhistle or anything. Also: How were the anti AfD protests not welcoming migrants? Even if there weren't many doesn't mean they were not welcome. Was any non-white person harassed or something? What makes you say they were not welcome?
If you aren't able to back up your argument, I assume you are a troll. You can't just say there are dogwhistles without pointing them out. You can't just say "racism is hidden in modern Germany" and leave it there. Well, you claim to have found the hidden racism, prove it. Otherwise everything is racist according to the logic.
