I just don't use a greeting or sign off on half of my emails
they're functionally useless so why bother

I like that...
I regularly sign off using "I remain,". I think it sends the right message, that I'm still alive.
Inevitably,

I love you, how dare you.

I end spoken conversations with "anyway.."
Drives people (rightly) nuts.
I personally use "anyway, back to me" instead of "subject change"
