Lol. This is from the app builder’s website:

Have an idea for a social media platform? We can build that!

Don't pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to foreigners for shotty code. Use the best, and the most proven builders anywhere today. Our platform builds include Wimkin (9.2M users), Reelster (TikTok Alternative), #WalkAway Social, Friendser, Truthleak, and more!

Definitely shotty.

Shotty or shitty, that is the question.

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 42 points 2 months ago

We're so cheap because we use vibe coders from India!

[–] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 34 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Did you see the new post? Its wimkin. Its literally on reelster. Its on truthleak with ads. Dude, it's on #walkaway social. Its on friendster. You can find it on friendster . Log onto friendster right now. Friendster has it for you.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 25 points 2 months ago

*cough* uh that's actually "FRIENDSER"

So . . not . not that one but We THOUGHT OF IT FIRST

[–] Shipgirlboy@sh.itjust.works 30 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Definitely shotty

They know their target audience well

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I think they're gonna get fired

[–] ArmchairAce1944@discuss.online 10 points 2 months ago

Or fired at. Given who their clientele is.

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 19 points 2 months ago

Huh, the shoddy conservative platform also jumped on the "#WalkAway" propaganda? Weird. Who would have expected that?

Not releasing the data or maliciously deleting every account on the site is a good practice.

This is a doxxing site designed to target political enemies. It didn't need good practices.

The doxxers have been doxxed? Reverse Uno Card!

Cancel the Hate was founded by conservative activist Jason Sheppard, who is best known for selling fentanyl testing kits with comedian Roseanne Barr, vaccine skeptic Dr. Robert Malone and right-wing journalist Lara Logan. The website says all reports must “include verifiable information about the submitter.”

Cancel the Hate says users who submit data on others will not have their own personal details made public. However, a social media-style app launched alongside the website appears to have been exposing just that.

. . . A message sent by SAN to the company that built Cancel the Hate’s website and app, DreamTeam Development, LLC, went unanswered.\

SAN reached out to a user listed in the leaked data and confirmed that they had in fact downloaded the app. The user, who asked to remain anonymous over fears of retribution, expressed concerns that Cancel the Hate might be a “scam” after receiving an influx of donation requests to their email.

Mmmmmm grifty.

who asked to remain anonymous for fear of retribution

LMAO

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 6 points 2 months ago

right wingers fall for SCAMs all the time, thats why they go for crypto and AI.

[–] garbagebagel@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'm curious about those fentanyl tests. "Created" by someone with "a medical background" ?? comedians and other various famous randos. I mean, if they're legit then cool I guess? Does anyone know more?

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Nothing wrong with a little comedy in drug testing I suppose.

Sounds like they got conned. I hope some noble soul releases the data to doxx these morons.

[–] betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world 22 points 2 months ago

It's nice to know that the Tea devs' incompetence hasn't stopped them from getting work. There's hope for us all.

[–] fullsquare@awful.systems 22 points 2 months ago (2 children)

once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action. were all these apps vibecoded?

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 27 points 2 months ago

I guarantee it had at least 25% of AI generated code. These shitty right wing grifts are all the same. They're just executing the perfect Russian influence campaigns to further split the country apart, and Putin couldn't be happier.

[–] NuXCOM_90Percent@lemmy.zip 10 points 2 months ago

Unlikely. But even if they were, these apps basically have off the shelf software packages.

The problem is when you make a service that needs a lot of thought for OPSEC and configuration and paint the biggest target imaginable on it.

So where is this list. For science.

Now there's an idea...

Have a dozen+ of these apps on the app stores, except only the reporter gets doxed (maybe given to the reported, if possible) and the reported's info just gets sent to /null.

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

Yeah doxxing should flow both ways for those guys

Hahaha I sure love reading about this. I hope they get ruined. 😂
