You can delete your LinkedIn account. This has the side benefit of improved mental health.

Assuming you need to keep your account for work, here are the direct links:

  1. Go to this page and turn it off: https://www.linkedin.com/mypreferences/d/settings/data-for-ai-improvement
  2. Submit this form: https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/ask/TS-DPRO

Joke’s on them I only use it for looking for a job

[–] otter@lemmy.ca 13 points 4 months ago

I can't imagine using it unless you're actively looking for work, or you work in marketing for your company. Even then, its only relevant for certain fields, and useless for the rest

It always baffles me that people use it as an actual social network. Like, you were already fake as fuck on Facebook, what kind of psychopath do you have to be in order to be even faker than that?

I'm surprised at how well marketing works on LinkedIn. It's my best platform for engagement, second to mastodon.

Here’s what you can do

Destroy them.

I straight up deleted my account there. Fuck them.

What is it? Why do I want it? How do I know what to choose on that page? What happens when I choose something?

It is a link to a matrix chat for a fediverse version of LinkedIn currently in development. I am guessing it is fairly early in development too.

Agreed. What a vague link to a vague community.

Can you explain what this is before we sign up for it?

No one who has an active LinkedIn profile should ever be treated as a serious individual.
