Are they gonna lower flags to half mast? Will there be a moment of silence? Are they gonna take responsibility? Will they persecute anyone who cheers on these deaths? Do pigs fly?

[–] primrosepathspeedrun@anarchist.nexus 95 points 2 months ago (14 children)

Move past pointing out hypocrisy. They don't care. We all know and on the scale of shit they're guilty of; it seems petty. The institutions are not going to do shit.

Consider what you will be doing about this.

[–] pennomi@lemmy.world 102 points 2 months ago (19 children)

Pointing out hypocrisy is not usually for the benefit of the hypocrite, it’s for the benefit of everyone else.

These were liberal left wing extremists that did this right? The blood thirsty left who want to kill everyone and regularly threaten people and groups with death, murder and mayhem?

Or am I thinking of another political extremist group?

Can I quote myself without sounding arrogant? Brian Killmeade called for homeless to be shot, then retracted.

But he said it. The message has been delivered, and spread. Saying and apologizing is not the same as not saying it.

[–] running_ragged@lemmy.world 77 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The redactions never travel as fast or far as the original message. They know this.

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 29 points 2 months ago

It's along the lines of a quote by Mark Twain

“A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes.”

[–] QuoVadisHomines@sh.itjust.works 51 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He needs to be held accountable for this.

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 57 points 2 months ago (2 children)

He won't be. But Jimmy Kimmel was taken off the air.

[–] Ohmmy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 31 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Can we go ahead and label fox news as a terrorist organization? They are inciting violence against americans and their viewers are acting on it.

Clearly the administration will do something about these right wing lunatics...

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 34 points 2 months ago (3 children)

How can they be a terrorist org if they’re State Media?

This happened Monday, and this is the first I've heard of it.

But, today some cops were shot in PA, and it's immediately all over the news. There's a press conference going on now, and everyone is shocked and sad.

Kilmeade should face charges. Not sure what charges. Not murder, but the equivalent of shouting 'fire' in a crowded theater.

No pushback for that Fox Host that said that. Only pushback and doxing for mean comments about dead white nationalist and nazi.

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 32 points 2 months ago

Y'know. That's one way to end homelessness. Just kill everyone who is homeless. Voila, no homelessness.

You become homeless? Straight to the firing line for you.

I mean, other countries did it by lifting up their citizens with social programs and housing projects and whatnot. Admittedly, I would prefer this much more than America's method.

But this does seem quite America of a solution to the homeless "problem"....

Fox News should be taken off air indefinitely.

"That's the way it has to be now. Or, involuntary lethal injection. Yeah. Or something. Just kill ‘em, yeah,” Kilmeade said in response to his co-host suggesting homeless people suffering from mental illness be imprisoned if they do not accept treatment.

Can’t believe this is a real quote WTF

They know what they're doing when they make stupid, inflammatory statements

There are countless stupid, hateful people itching for an excuse to be violent, and the people who call them to arms can deny all responsibility

Speaking on Fox & Friends Friday about Charlie Kirk’s death, Trump admitted that he isn’t all that concerned about right-wing radicals.

“Well, I’ll tell you something that’s gonna get me in trouble, but I couldn’t care less. The radicals on the right oftentimes are radical ‘cause they don’t want to see crime, they don’t want to see crime,” Trump said. “They’re saying, ‘We don’t want these people coming in, we don’t want you burning our shopping centers, we don’t want you shooting our people in the middle of the street.’”

“The radicals on the left are the problem,” he continued, “and they’re vicious and they’re horrible and they’re politically savvy.”

When do we start rounding up all the Faux execs and the on-air talent and imprison them, and get Faux taken down and not carried anywhere? When do we start doxxing those that support Faux by watching Faux, and start getting THEM fired?
