Man, as someone who is not religious at all, some of these rituals are sooo weird to me.
Like making someone a saint not that long after their death. The concept of a saint itself is also weird to me. Its like an honorary degree from a university or an "employee of the month" badge.
I cant put my finger on it, to be honest. Just seems so weird
They're just jealous of polytheists so they have to invent a bunch of other little mini-gods
St. Matthew: Patron saint of accountants.
Okay, that's a bit sad.
I agree on the polytheism thing. But it's also about role models.
The meat of the story:
Candidates for sainthood require two distinct miracles attributed to them: Acutis was first beatified in 2020 after a Brazilian boy with a pancreatic defect was cured, following his mother's prayers to Acutis to help her son. The second miracle involves the reported healing of a Costa Rican girl who suffered a serious head injury after falling off her bike in Florence: her mother prayed for the girl's recovery at Acutis' tomb in Assisi, and her daughter made a full recovery.
I wonder if maybe doctors and modern medicine had anything to do with these recoveries...
Trying to stay relevant much? Humanity as a whole needs to realize that religion is a mental crutch. The community aspect of it is good, but it isn't exclusive to religion.
Well, we need to make more specific Sunday gaming & rec centers, then!
In the game, "Fight of Gods", you can literally play as Jesus to fight other mythological characters, including Santa.
Special attack: Ascension and Cross punch.
The original Halo trilogy are some of the best Christian games you can play honestly.
