Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Isn't this the guy who could have whipped up support to convict Trump of his impeachment, therefore barring him from running again?

Mitch McConnell can get bent. He did this.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 91 points 3 months ago (3 children)

It's not just that...

Like, unequivocally McTurtle is on the Rushmore mountain of "who do we blame for this" but it's because he's spent literal decades installing loyalists judges.

He spent an entire lifetime building the machine trump co-opted.

He's not mad this is happening, he's mad it's not him or a protege driving us off the cliff. His goal was a long term manageable dictatorship, trump jumped early and wasted everything McTurtle built.

Trump Leroy Jenkinsed the plan

[–] criss_cross@lemmy.world 15 points 3 months ago

That’s the risk of dictatorship right? It works when your guys are in charge.

[–] cmbabul@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

There is a part of me that’s glad that the machine he built has been turned against him. We all have to suffer now Mitch, I will piss on your grave even if it’s the last thing I ever do, raggedy ass motherfucker

You actively participated in making it happen, you turd.

[–] onslaught545@lemmy.zip 25 points 3 months ago (1 children)

He did more than actively participate. He orchestrated it.

[–] MushuChupacabra@lemmy.world 17 points 3 months ago

He doesn't have blood on his hands.

He's got it up to his elbows.

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 42 points 3 months ago

Because of you, dipshit. Because of you.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 38 points 3 months ago

Yes, thanks for that, dickhead

[–] plz1@lemmy.world 32 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Calling it now. He has cancer and is trying to clear his slate before he gets judged by the god he believes in. Nothing he can do will ever clear that, though.

[–] JTskulk@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Is it possible for cancer to have cancer?

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago

Wouldn't that be cancer reverting back to normal cells that are continuously converting cancer back to healthy cells? Sounds like a cure for cancer... Or the T-Virus

[–] MegaUltraChicken@lemmy.world 26 points 3 months ago

I cannot wait to make a special trip to Kentucky just to shit on your grave you vile piece of garbage.

[–] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 25 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Why will he not fucking die?

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 14 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Because he's an evil piece of shit. They never die, they just get wealthy and live amazing lives ruining things for everyone else.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

Humans are resilient. Spite alone can keep someone alive, I am living proof.

[–] JHRD1880@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

Fuck McConnell, he is partially responsible for this.

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 8 points 3 months ago

AND HE WOULD KNOW

[–] PhilipTheBucket@piefed.social 7 points 3 months ago

Yeah, too right. It's a little surprising to hear someone in his position talking about it, it means they're waking up, which I guess is a good thing?

Oh, to the United States in the 1930s? Fuckin' what lol. The tariffs are hardly the most important things going on right now. Well, hopefully McConnell lives long enough to get "night of the long knives"ed.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Mitch McConnell?!? Fucking really dude??
