The Florida Department of Transportation has ordered Miami Beach and at least eight other cities to remove rainbow-colored crosswalks, prompting local leaders and advocates to push back in defense of LGBTQ+ expression. What do you think?

I'm visiting Canada right now. And I think visibility is the number one factor that makes minorities have a better life. Even rainbow capitalism and performative allyship is better than nothing. So yes, removing the flags, symbols and signs will definitely make people's lives worse and less safe. It's easier to put people into groups of "us" and "them", if you can pretend that "they" are not even real.
