They are fighting it. Democrats fled to Illinois in Texas so they couldn't meet quorum. Newsom in California is going to add as many reps as he can, while other states will probably do the same.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

No. I've been wanting the Democrats to do something since they had the election stolen from them in 2000.
I realized the US Democrats were utter failures when Obama had all branches of government ... and STILL accomplished next to nothing.
Newsom's threats to do the same would be more chilling to Republicans if California hadn't already been doing this for decades. I'm sure he can squeeze out a few more seats though.

They have so many means to rig the midterms now, it won't actually matter if they are able to through gerrymandering. Gerrymandering is just the traditional method of rigging democrats have not only done nothing about, but have also joined in on. Trump is laying down the foundation for democrats to be arrested while having control of most major networks. Not only are they going to have to work against gerrymandering, they are going to have to do a whole lot more.
