What community would you like to see more active on Lemmy?

I suspect most people aren't subbing/following communities on Lemmy. So post the community or topic you want to see pop off. And reader(that's you) if you are interested in that community click the link and follow it.

Can you crosspost with an internal link not raw url? It kicks me out of app into my mobile browser with that link.

Great question; I don't know. I just used the Voyager 'Crosspost' menu option.

The community is !asklemmy@lemmy.world. But I don't know how/if I can share relative links to particular posts.

I don't know if it plays nice with Voyager - but a link from https://lemmyverse.link/ is usually a good thing to add:

Although, it is giving me a 500 error when I click this one, which is disappointing, but hopefully temporary.

I commented with a link to !fedigrow@lemmy.zip

It's a bit worrying to see people still linking to lemm.ee communities when they shut down a month ago

[–] emb@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Yeah. I guess it might be different from client to client, but it seems like it can be hard to tell that the community is shut down.

I was just pruning my subscriptions the other day. Unless the lemm.ee comms had a stickied 'moving' post, I can't visually tell any difference from these and your average inactive sub.

Yes, there are a few communities like this unfortunately.

You quickly end up in situations like https://lemmy.world/c/moviesandtv@lemmy.film while lemmy.film shut down 2 years ago

Let me know if this doesn't quite fit. Thought a lot of these would be of interest to folks in this comm.

Maybe if you spot some interesting communities in the thread there, they'd be worth giving their own post here.
