I'm gonna lock in my answer on it's a genuine work, but over the reposts the digital decay got to it and someone used AI to upscale it which messed up the text.
definitely AI. in the game itself when someone talks to Link their name is visible in the top left of the text box. if it was just a messed up upscale it'd still mean that Link is talking to himself in third person and like... he's famously not very talkative
