Blames Hillary, Obama and Biden for the Epstein Files, which also don't exist.

I love that he's getting torched by his own.

I NEVER THOUGHT THE LEOPARD WOULD EAT MY FACE!!!!

How much is this a revolt over the Epstein files and how much is it just a vent for the general dissatisfaction of the people? I imagine they're quite angry about a number of things by now, including that groceries didn't get cheaper, as trump promised would happen on "day one", so i guess this might just be a general way to vent.

metacognitive myopia even prevents people from updating their beliefs about the existence of WMDs.

One of his followers did try to shoot him for it. Strange, the shooter’s reasons were not well publicized.

Imagine being so stupid as to think the RAPIST was going to do something about sex trafficking pedos?

🤣 🤣

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 15 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

well, he's certainly an expert on the topic

Nobody rapes better than Trump! Nobody!

Are they bringing their guns to the lynching? I hope they're bringing their guns to the lynching.

[–] ABetterTomorrow@sh.itjust.works 11 points 10 hours ago (2 children)

What’s going to happen when maga finds out that everything they were groomed to believe in is all about the very people they listened to, trusted in and destroyed for? I hope they redirect their anger to start pushing democrats to start doing their job and starts pushing out those who are not for the people. Hope this starts a productive team up of the people vs the corrupt, rich and powerful.

That's not Epstein list. It's just book with a bunch of contacts. Some Epstein met, some Epstein wanted to meet.

As per Snopes:

Because according to Mr. Rodriguez’s statement in the affidavit, the book was compiled by employees of Mr. Epstein, not by Mr. Epstein himself. Those contacted for this article acknowledged having met Ghislaine Maxwell, Mr. Epstein’s former girlfriend and “lady of the house,” and posited perhaps that was how their names ended up in the book. (It is unclear from the affidavit whether Ms. Maxwell is one of the “employees.” Ms. Buck said that she had met Ms. Maxwell at a boutique opening but that “she never phoned me.”)

The Integillience did a deep dive on the contacts in the book.

Snopes is about as trustworthy as donald trump, or any other corporate Main stream media outlet owned by billionaires. Just a bunch of bullshit to stop any critical thinking dead in it’s tracks and preserve the status quo

Conrad Black 🙄🙄🙄

Blaine & Robert (as a pair), Ivana and Ivanka are there but not Donald???

Weird.

Edit: Donald Trump is there. But separate from the rest. Took another look.

Thank you. I’ve been wondering whether I had hallucinated this, since it sounds like many people have forgotten this exists.

We saw this a full decade ago. It’s the contents of his ‘black book’, and trump is listed specifically under the ‘Island’ heading.

[–] Zron@lemmy.world 15 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

It was released as evidence during Epstein’s pretrial hearings. Before he died.

We already knew all this, he just died before he could testify as to the details of his notes.

Anyone who can read and doesn’t have the memory of a goldfish knows that trump is an accomplice of epstein’s

Would the maga base even care if they found out they were supporting a pedophile?

[–] SuperCub@sh.itjust.works 3 points 6 hours ago

It seems like this could be a turning point in Trump's popularity with his base. I welcome it.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 points 11 hours ago

I mean, no, because we've known that he is one for decades.

[–] BigPotato@lemmy.world 22 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Much like everything else, he just needs to own it.

If he put out a message saying "Women are peak when they're 13 and Jeff was the only guy who really knew that RIP" and dropped the file at the same time he could skate...

But he won't say it because he's spent years demonizing the Dems about the list while he's on it. So since "the list" is bad and he's on the list, it can't come out, but since he's in charge of releasing it and he has told his base to care they do. He could even say "I'm just on the list because Obama put me on there!" and he'd skate.

I don't get it, honestly, but there's too many scenarios where he gets off fine. His friends just don't want it to come out because they're not him and they won't get off free.

[–] gabbath@lemmy.world 11 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

The initial QAnoners were already rationalizing it away since 2019-2020 or so saying he went there undercover "to save the children".

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 11 hours ago

Right... and he'll do it any day now...

[–] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 9 points 14 hours ago

Isn't that why they support him?

[–] breecher@sh.itjust.works 57 points 18 hours ago (4 children)

The reporter obviously doesn't know how maga cultists functions. There is no revolt against Trump, they are just waiting for the official Trump propaganda excuse, and in the meanwhile are left to their own moronic devices.

[–] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 8 hours ago

They get confused, he provides direction, they happy again

[–] Gt5@lemmy.zip 4 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Anecdotally, I’ve seen at least two that are very upset about this and the spending bill

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

But likely not upset enough to vote for anything other than the straight Republican ticket.

Yep. This too shall blow over, leaving at most a "shrug, I didn't like how he handled the whole Epstein situation but I voted for him for a third term because he's the only one who can save the country and make America great again"

[–] aceshigh@lemmy.world 5 points 11 hours ago

How many people do you think are actually maga? There is some overlap of beliefs between the r’s and the extremists, and I think the r’s are starting to recognize that their party has been hijacked.

[–] MangioneDontMiss@lemmy.ca 2 points 9 hours ago

no he doesn't.

[–] selkiesidhe@sh.itjust.works 172 points 22 hours ago (7 children)

I'll believe that when I see it. Till then, all MAGAt morons are pro- pedofilia and they'll fall back into line once Faux News Entertainment tells them to.

[–] Bonesince1997@lemmy.world 54 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago) (5 children)

It's amazing how they are pro-pedophilia (due to their continued support and blindness towards all the real pedophiles around them) but screech about looking for pedophiles everywhere, or at least they were a few years ago! How can anyone trust these people when they support the thing they purport to loathe. When will this all blow up?

Add in the criminality of Trump and Co, and these guys are looking in all the wrong places!

“It’s not even about Pam Bondi to me. It’s like, look, Trump, we elected you because you were supposed to be different,” said Sharon Allen, a 24-year-old attendee. “So you have to prove to us you’re different….you can fire her [Bondi], do whatever, but at the end of the day, Trump, you are president. We trusted you to get rid of these people and expose these people.”

These dumbasses believe the lie of Trump so much that they’re shocked when he does exactly what the rest of us expected.

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 54 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Do they not realize Epstein was killed when Trump was president the first time?

I’m shocked they have lasted more than 2 days. Usually they have eaten and digested the absolute shit that trump talks and are on their knees begging for more by now, usually so they can own the libs. This is the first glimmer of integrity I’ve seen from them. Very weird.

[–] gabbath@lemmy.world 4 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

I'm not hoping much, but if at least a small percentage of them get swayed, it might be enough to lose him the next election. (I'm automatically assuming he will keep running for a third term. These people don't stop unless they are stopped.)

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (1 children)

These are people who will always vote Republican. None of this matters to them.

I know because they're my fucking parents.
