Jesus, season 36... The Simpsons is a zombified show at this point. It really should be put out of its misery.

its marge that is kinda ruining it for me. writing isnt terrible, but her voice just isnt cutting it anymore

Yeah, nothing against Julie Kavner, she's been absolutely iconic as Marge's VA, but the years and strain are definitely starting to show.

I've been wondering how they're going to handle that since they usually just retire a character instead of getting a new VA.

I got really excited that he was returning as a writer. A guest appearance is cool, but I'd like to see what he could do running the writing room for a season.

I think being a comedy writer takes a certain amount of desperation that someone with Conan's success won't have anymore.
