I think most sane people realize this. The ones in charge is too busy thinking about themselves to give a shit, so we are doooomed.
The ones in charge, and the ones that control them. And it's not that sane people realize the details, they just sense that things aren't right. Going further in to understand things is both boring science stuff and frightening, so they prefer to keep it easily dismissive in their head so they can function.
The ones in charge are typically old AF and know they'll probably die of other causes before the consequences of their actions kill them
All sorts of ladies at my condo trying to figure out how to fix the grass situation and they don't like not having grass as a solution.
Alternative grass solutions are prettier, healthier, and there's some subconscious comfort in seeing the many species they attract to them. As opposed to when you realize how sterile a full, green lawn actually is. "Where's the butterflies?"
And as politicians would think:
- Oh, I wonder why young women don’t want to have kids… it must be because of dating apps!
Climate change is now accelerating, we do not have much quality of life left.
Meh, sounds like a problem for ~~future generations~~ the poors to worry themselves over.
It's not even future generations anymore. It is happening right now. We are all going to experience it regardless of our age.
