It's virtue signalling.
Even if any of them believe they are praying, their "faith" is a sham in support of their real religion: power. To Republicans, "politics" is the religion founded on increasing personal power through performative speech and conduct.
They are hollow, nihilistic simulacrums of human-like virtue, expressing themselves only to drain the actual human value and agency from the public.

As far as I know, they're probably huddling on the next power corrupt play to make. Like a football huddle.
I can read their minds through the magic of the internet, and a lot of unfortunate personal experience.
They open with long-winded, empty, masturbatory platitudes like this.

To some morons on Lemmy, these people are actually just doing what democrats want to do. Despite the fact that we'll have at least 8 years of Democrats trying to undo this shit, it inevitably won't be good enough and that will be their proof. "See, Democrats are the same" these smug fucking morons will say. And someday I may punch their thoughtless faces for it.
