Well I draw it as a pentagram instead whenever possible, but I think I still start at 4 if you flip it.

[–] _LordMcNuggets_@feddit.org 3 points 2 hours ago

ummmm....

I go 524135

I'd draw it 413524, but I'd read it as 135241.

[–] Mr_Dr_Oink@lemmy.world 9 points 10 hours ago (3 children)

13524 feels natural to me without testing it.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 4 points 4 hours ago

135241 is the natural order ofc

[–] jcg@halubilo.social 4 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

13542 in the original doesn't even make a star

[–] Mr_Dr_Oink@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

That may have been a typo.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 2 points 9 hours ago

Because it is and all these others are heresy.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 4 points 8 hours ago

I thought this was a bolt tightening pattern and wondered why anyone cared where they started.

I was sad that I didn't learn that until high school. Never drew a star any other way after that. The young woman who taught me I can't remember, but the star.... I'll always remember haha

[–] Krauerking@lemy.lol 12 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

You start with a straight line. It literally makes the most sense cause it decides the size of the star as well.

[–] BlueMagma@sh.itjust.works 1 points 6 hours ago

You meant vertical I think, but get it, this order makes sense even though it wasn't my first instinct

[–] TheRealKuni@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Any of them are straight lines and decide the size of the star. Some of us are more refined and can handle diagonal sizing.

[–] Krauerking@lemy.lol 4 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (1 children)

Weird flex to call someone unrefined for how they draw a star. Not very refined.

[–] TheRealKuni@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago (3 children)

For someone on lemy.lol you sure take things too seriously. 😉

This is the correct order. 5-to-2 sets the width of the star, which is important when writing multiple identical stars next to each other.

[–] salacious_coaster@infosec.pub 2 points 11 hours ago

Yes. I can only imagine Light Yagami doing 52413 in the Death Note

I guess yeah you could draw it with straight lines. Not sure why I assumed you wouldnt in retrospect.

[–] Rooty@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

Wait, are we sharing how to do the LBRP or how to draw cartoon stars?

How in the world do you go from 5→ 4 and make a star
