I was only telling my wife today that I am nearing moving to apple as a result of their AI approach.
Too much outsourcing and third parties involved in android implemtations. I dont have data security with them, I'd hope they implement this well.

Their approach may be correct, but their execution is appallingly terrible. I have not once had a successful interaction with Apple AI. The majority of the time I activate it, it’s by accident, and when I do try to activate it on purpose, I usually fail.
It is going to take a long time to integrate siri with an external model.
Even Google took a long time to replace Google Assistant with Gemini.
Looks like we might not see a new Siri in "the coming year".
And Gemini has turned out swimmingly as I understand it 🙄.
if you cant beat em, buy em (or partner with them).
