I still fully believe that The Orville is the best modern Star Trek series.
I might be there with you. It hits the right notes.
Giant desk, flattering lighting, Kermit and a comfortable uniform. He may have it better than any Trek captain.
Mount has the best hair. Haven’t the bandwidth to process anything else.
I love Hayward's expression here, it seems to say, "Kermit wore it better, we all know it, put down that thing, quit being so dramatic."
You can see Shatner's breasts through his pajama. Kermit, on the other hand, is naked (well, he's wearing something around his neck, but that's not covering anything).

Why is Kermit not in his captains uniform?
Kermit’s a nudist. He wears a trench coat when reporting for Sesame Street News, but the network said he had to wear something, so he went with the flasher’s cliche.
It looks like leather on Pike.

News flash: the original TOS gold shirts were green but the film processing didn’t give us that. Somehow that specific alternate tunic fabric came out on film closer to the actual fabric colour.
I always hated that uniform shirt. Kermit is just green, so he wins by default.
I'm generally a trek fan, I just find it odd they feel the need to make the captian look like Shatner. Is it to just appease the older trek audience that can't handle anything different?
