Doesn’t look too long to me! But of course I don’t know what kind of activities you get up to in it and I can imagine things like, say, gardening might be tricky. It’s lovely! The fabric is great too. Is it just a quilting cotton? Quilting cotton has the best variety; wish I could find some whimsical prints on other fabrics more easily.

@proudblond I'm short, so I don't want it to overwhelm my frame. Yes, it is quilting cotton, from equilter.com so it's higher quality than most of the shops, but it's still quilting cotton. They fade quickly. I have gotten swatches of Spoonflower (print on demand company) fabrics, but they are all so stiff. I can sometimes find cute prints in double gauze but it's not suitable for a fitted garment like this.
Ohh it fades, sure, I wouldn’t have considered that. Well it’s still cute!
I’ve used Spoonflower for bag fabric, which is okay. Don’t need it to be soft in that case; quite the opposite! And it wouldn’t get washed much. But you can sometimes still tell that it’s printed, especially with dark colors, because the color doesn’t go all through to the other side.
@proudblond I used Spoonflower for my living room curtains and I love them. The denim skirt I made with their denim? I never wear it even though it's covered in dancing gnomes.
Good tip. May not bother ever trying their stuff for apparel!
