My parents neighbor's cat Leo likes to come visit them whenever he escapes. First he'll come to the back door, then the front windows, yelling and pawing at them if he sees anyone around inside. After we let him in, he runs over to the designated petting chair and waits for someone to follow and sit down so he can jump in their laps and receive pets! But, he knows if it's been raining that my parents towel him off first, and so he runs over to the towel first on those days. He's a beautiful floofy orange cat with thumbs and really smart but really goofy

For Oliver, his bedtime routine. Once he thinks I'm getting ready to go to bed, he'll sit by the stairs. Once I get there, he runs as fast as he can up the stairs and then looks behind him to make sure I'm still coming. Then he runs to the bedroom, again stopping and looking. Then when I go to the bathroom he runs back out of the bedroom to join me while I pee and brush my teeth–I leave the door cracked for him and he pushes in with his head. While I'm getting ready he skitters in and out of the bathroom being annoyed with me. Then finally when I go towards the bedroom he runs and does a flying leap into the bed. (Which means that sometimes when my partner is already in bed he lands right on his dick 😅). He runs over to my side of the bed and lays down and then I slither my way in. I'm a side sleeper, so I turn over and get myself tucked all in and comfy. And then he goes up to sit on my butt like it's his little kitty cat sofa.
He doesn't sleep with us all night but he almost always comes to bed with me and I just love that he has his little routine and that I'm part of it. 🥹
She chatters at me conversationally. It sounds like one of the chittering sounds the Predator makes. She also does it when watching birds.
"Good morning Thistle"
very quiet meow, "Kakakakakaka" slow blink
Her timing is pretty good so it does sometimes feel like a conversation
Loling at the Predator sounds, it's so true. I think she is definitely having a conversation with you!
When I'm in bed, Percy comes into the bedroom (he can open the door) and on to the bed. Then he proceeds to thump me in the head until I lift the covers for him to snuggle under them with me. Is that cute? I think so.
Whacking me is my cat's main form of communication. He wants food? I get whacked until I'm awake and feed him. He wants pets? I get whacked. He wants snuggles? You guessed it, I get whacked.
Percy 🥹 that is indeed very cute. He's communicating!
my cat does this too.can confirm it's mega cute!
Looking up at the ceiling and tilting her head when she hears scratching noises on cardboard or similar.
Acting like he hates the snuggles but doing nothing to get away, then looking obviously disappointed when I stop.
Cuddling up against me while I'm distracted so when I look beside me there's a surprise cat there I can pet.
Hurrying me up to give him food, but once the food is served he comes up to me to give me a quick petting opportunity before he digs in. It's my reward for feeding, him I guess. If I don't take the chance to pet him, he won't wait for me, so I need to act fast!
It's him saying thank you =D
If they flop down for belly pats on the ground and if we extend the hand they happen to be just out of reach they do this shimmy move on their back to get within patting distance.
He spends much of the day sleeping upstairs. When I come in the front door, I frequently hear a thud as he leaps down from wherever he was napping, then the sound of him sprinting while meowing, then I see him slide a bit when he gets to the bottom of the stairs & the uncarpeted floor, then he sprints over to me demanding all the pets and scratches and love I can possibly give. Naturally, I’m happy to oblige him
Rosemary’s cutest habit is somehow getting on top of doors in the house and yelling until I come help her down.
Fafa’s is bum rushing any closet that’s opened and digging down into the deepest spot to sleep. Then waking up at 3am wanting to get out waking our young child.
Chaplin’s cutest habit is being the scariest cat ever whenever anyone gets near him especially the vet, but being the biggest baby that needs his mama to cuddle him everyday.
If I'm laying on the couch and Izzy finds out, she jumps up and curls up with her butt in my armpit. I've actually used that to get her out of hiding when it was vet time.
He always wants to sleep in bed with me and my husband. But he always lays down next to my husbands feet, where he will be kicked eventually at night. He never even tried to lay down at my side, even if soo much space is left :,)
When I am working from home he sometimes lays down on my mouse. While my hand is still on said mouse.
He acts like he wants nothing to do with us, but silently follows us around in the flat, laying down wherever we spend time.
"I don't like you, it's just coincidence I'm in the same room as you 98% of the time!"
He'll leave the room just to come back two seconds later with a grand entrance and loud meowing to get our attention: "It is I, Sammy! I have returned!"
When she's cuddling really well with us she'll stretch out her paws and and wants to touch your face with them over and over while you pet her
Aw, she's petting you back! Like a petting 69, but without the connotation!
Two of our four cats often show up in the bathroom when we are showering so we can wet them down with our hands when we get out.
They get all excited for a quick bath from mommy or daddy.
"they use their paws as tongues on us!"
I had an electric toothbrush that my cat loved to rub against. Every evening when I got ready for bed, he got up and went to the bathroom with me, only to meow at me loudly until I sit down with him and let him rub his head against the handle of the toothbrush while I was brushing my teeth.
He disliked the toothpaste smell, but the face massage was always worth it haha.
I'll tell you whats NOT, when they have a hairball and throw up in multiple little puddles instead of sticking around and containing it lol
Especially after running to the carpet 😅
I could never have carpet again, especially with multiple cats. Filthy beasts haha
Oh man my Izzy is the master of the walking pukes. Olympic gold medalist.
She pets me when she wants attention or food.
He lifts his paw when he poops
Trying real hard to narrow it down to one each:
Purrcival - When we pass by each other, he wants pets, but I am usually too slow to bend down, so he hops up slightly to rub his head into my hand. This often happens multiple times in quick succession as I move around the house doing stuff and he follows me.
Meowtholomew - He's super skittish and sometimes I worry he doesn't get enough wet food because he can get scared off by a random noise, or his siblings, quite easily. But the way I confirm he has had his fill is after he is done eating, he will take a BIG, overdramatic stretch as he slowly walks away.
Dr. Snugglepants - True to her name, she loves to snuggle. But she is very particular. She has to snuggle me first, but I am not always allowed to snuggle back. I have to find the perfect moment when she has reached the perfect state of snuggles in order for her to be ready to receive snuggles back. Otherwise she will flatten like a pancake, or get annoyed, or move and try another position, or just leave. She may be the tortie with the least tortitude I've ever known, but when it comes to snuggles, it's in full force lol
For Itsy, it is her emotional intelligence and caring habit. She licks my hand when it hurts (pretty often due to crps) and my head (migrain). And she stays by my side as often as she can.
Jinx is very affectionate, he comes to me running, lays down midflight, headbumping me and wanting cuddles.
She’s a tabby so she rolls and swims on the carpet all the time. She also does flip tricks when killing her innocent toys for the nth time.
