Ok this sounds crazy, but I am experiencing a very weird issue. If I try to open certain communities, I get the message 'failed to load more posts'.

Now I might be seeing a pattern where there isn't one, but it seems to me like it happens on communities that have 'ru' at the start of their names, like c/Rust, c/Russia, c/Ruby, and basically every other 'ru...' community I tried. What is going on?

I informed the lemmy.world admins, for some reason communities starting with "ru" fail to load

hi,

there was a bad cloudflare block rule from back in 2023 that blocked these requests.

i had previously disabled it to see if that had any bad impact but forgot to follow up on that to fully remove it, so it got reactivated in a later configuration change. it's fully removed now.

Faulty .ru instead of \.ru regex ban somewhere? Hopefully it's not that, but would be funny.

A dot would have to match something before β€žru”

Yeah, I'm seeing the same thing.

Works fine for me with Voyager 2.28 iOS. Maybe it’s the .world instance doing the blocking?

Ok so I just went to lemmy.world and tried clicking on a bunch of communities. When I click on rust, running, Russia, etc. it goes to the community but doesn't load properly until I refresh the page. Doesn't happen for other communities. Strange.

I've seen this recently in rust related threads. I had guessed it was a problem federating with the posting instance.
