I always thought fencing was some high class shit but way to prove me wrong. Good on the tournament organizers disqualifying the bigot but it's sad to see other organizations financially reward such behavior

Idk anything about fencing, but it doesn't seem like the type of sport where a pair of danglers would give you an advantage.

Beyond that, it was an okay tournament for Sullivan [the trans fencer], who faced an uphill battle against most of her more seasoned opponents. She came in 24th place out of 38 total fencers, not including Turner.

You would be right.

But to be honest, trans sports bans have never been about fairness, the majority of laws in the U.S. that have banned trans people from sports target K-12 kids (often just one or two trans kids in each state), and they often ban trans men from playing on the boys teams as well as trans women from playing on girls teams ...

the Independent Council on Women’s Sports (ICONS)

It's funny how they forgot to put the W on the initialism.

I guess they didn't want to be misidentified

‘You know what, I’m just going to give it to God. If this person shows up to my event, and they're on my strip, then I will take a knee, and that would be God's will,

This is possibly the worst thing i have seen a transphobe say

Feels on brand. God's will seems to always conveniently align with the popular political message, that gets you the most money and / or fame. And wouldn't you know it always aligns with this things I have been planning in meticulous details. God seems to work in mysterious ways that always aligns with what I was going to do anyway.

Should've seen this coming, what with America's currency being printed with "In God we trust"

Land of corporate capitalist corruption
