Well, it's not without at least one precedent. Enterprises pulling back out of the cloud to on-prem or hybrid due to soaring costs was refreshing. Higher ups in my org were always champing at the bit thinking it would (as the sales people said) cut our costs in half. Having long-term data to show that's a lie was useful.
A slashdot link? That brings me back. I wonder if people will still be impressed by my low uid.
