I know Nicole has kinda become a meme but for me it's just annoying. Is there a way we can get some type of plugin one inboxes so that we can set up a regex to look out for, "hi, I'm Nicole, the Fediverse chick" and all variations of and automatically bounce them?

The problem is that the spammer recently changed to use images, which is harder to detect.

I'm still seeing them include the same text

Oh yea, I believe the other admins from my instance use code to automatically remove those.

Sure, if it is text, it is pretty easy. Though the person behind this started using images, so optical image recognition might be needed, which would scan incoming PMs and check for certain words.

I'll have to speak to my admin about it.

There are a few different ways to address the spam but none of them are perfect and all of them require intervention from your instance admin. The best course of action is to bring the spam to their attention by reporting the DMs. You may even want to contact your admin directly to ask them to take action.
