In ancient Greece and Rome pederasty was a thing, so no.
I'd say the US also doesn't do the whole human sacrifice thing at least, but then again, causing pregnant women to die by forcing them to carry unviable pregnancies to term for religious reasons seems awfully close.
We don't sacrifice people on alters; we sacrifice people on the streets.
The way the post is written I initially thought the woman had a miscarriage due to public pressure.
I never knew massive public pressure could cause miscarriages. But, now that I think of it, stress is wicked.
