Yes I want spring too. We have a day in the 40s today and tomorrow both
We had a week of above freezing days, and a couple of stand alone above freezing days here. I'm starting maple syrup so I get to enjoy a couple of months of back breaking labor (because I don't have a pump that would make it easy and other lacks of equipment,) for less than a migrant farm laborer would earn.
But it's a good workout. And it's nice enjoying those 40 degree days, seeing the hawks court, those big pileated woodpeckers always roost here too. The crows chased off the hawks last spring, I've been trying to befriend them but can't get them to come close to give them food.
What region are you in? I'm around Michigan, and it's been a relatively hard winter, like it used to be in the 90s.
I am in Minnesota so not too far from you
Oh jesus, yeah not far but a lot colder. We got down to -26 f or so one night here in January or whatever that was, idk what you guys were, I think around -40 but idk if I mixed yours up with windchill wasn't paying too much attention to you guys.
We normally stay 30 degrees warmer in those polar inversions because the weather comes from the west and lake michigan takes the bite out of the cold, and parts of the state did, I was in the part that had the bitter cold set in, that's as cold as I ever remember it getting here.
-40°F/C is insanely cold, my god. We don't even get that cold in northern Scandinavia.
