A gaming community free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.

Which game have you been the most patient for (as in, delaying purchase)?

For me, it would have to be GTA V. I stopped playing games for years, then built a new rig in 2018. Since then I've played through GTA IV (well, I beat the story, and it was amazing), but I never played GTA V.

My plan is to purchase it and start playing it the day GTA VI is released, as I have enough other games to get through in the meantime.

I waited years for the FF7 Remake and then even more years for the FF7 Remake to come to PC and then even more years for the sequel to the FF7 Remake to come to PC and now I'm waiting for the three-quel to release, at which point I will begin waiting for it to come to PC.

When you get around to playing FF7R you may want to check out these two mods. I couldn't even make it through the intro without them.

If you take away the grunts, you lose half of Barrett's dialogue! /s

I'll have to keep an eye out for this in FF7R-3. But I'll be honest, I barely noticed. Might be cause I'm a bit of a grunter myself, though...

Ha! It's a bit poorly named, but what the mod actually does is edit out most of the anime reaction sounds in the cutscenes. It's surprisingly subtle - there are still plenty, but they're placed where it makes sense instead of characters exclaiming with every slight movement they make.

The mod page has a comparison video with the base game that shows what I mean, but if the noises didn't bother you then more power to you. Just be careful - I hear they can be contagious.
