Wait, that is not a joke
I haven't played Traveller, but isn't d20 power creep inflation a bit not in line with Traveller's more gritty/realistic power curve?
Oh, yeah. They even talked about exactly that on the Enworld podcast/stream - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxzQ84JQozk - In D&D 5e, you are heroes (more or less). In Traveller, not so much. You can do space opera type games with 5e, I mean I enjoyed playing in Starfinder (1st edition, haven't played 2nd) campaigns. I have enjoyed Traveller games too, but those systems really don't seem to mesh.
