Haha, I had no idea what this prop (or character?) was but it looked like a false mustache in a frame or noticeboard, and I was scrambling for extra observations to add credence to the conspiracy.

My best sleuthing has failed to find any information on this artifact, and therefore I must conclude that it is some murky park of the Furchester family or hotel history. I'd like to think that it's all that remains of some nefarious agent of a wicked regieme, who made the mistake of entering the premises. Cookie Monster has had to be restrained from eating a guest on at least one occasion, and if the spy looked a bit too cookieish...
