Lemmy's aren't much better. Despite being pretty far left, I'm banned from the progressive politics sub for completely fabricated reasons. And for context, I often get into arguments with .ml & hexbear users, and aside from some random communities I've never interacted with, they haven't banned me from much.

The role just attracted the wrong type of person.

I’m splitting hairs, but there’s no such thing as a lemmy admin. There are instance admins that can only moderate their own instances.
