Good point but what does it mean?

Any move against them, especially penalising them, will evoke a counter reaction. The ideology will linger on and fester.

How do you decide who to "weed out"? Does it come down to removing all Trump supporters? That will create more tensions..

At least weed them out in all public institutions. Not like it was done in post WW2 Germany, where they were pretty much all left in place.

The US doing largely the same after our civil war is a huge part of how we got into this mess.

They are murdering people in the streets with impunity. You are way beyond the "creating more tensions" stage.

Yeah, but this talk of "weeding out" and "denazification" will only create more violence. You guys need to learn to chill.

Who will you "weed out" anyway? Trump? His inner circle? ICE employees? Those who support ICE? Those who support Trump?

All this tough talk does nothing but escalate the situation. The US really needs to learn how to be a functional democracy again. And no, that does not involve "weeding out" anyone.
